Announcing the Essential Career Skills Grant Opportunity

Essential Career Skills (ECS) form a foundation from which students demonstrate requisite core competencies that broadly prepare learners for success in the workplace, college, and in life.

ECS, quite simply, are the new career currency. For employers especially, ECS play an important role in sourcing talent but also developing talent through apprenticeships, internships and all forms of employment.

As such, Core-LX is pleased to announce the Empowering Essential Career Skills Grant Opportunity – A Large Urban and Suburban Career Technical Education Grant for the 2021-2022 School Year.

Purpose

The ECS Grant Opportunity is designed to support Large Urban and Suburban Schools as they innovate career learning and instruction.

Grant Award

Large Urban and Suburban Schools Matching Grant 

  • Core-LX will award 20 licenses for every 100 licenses purchased through the end of the grant period. Each license provides the full Core-LX Catalogue of course options (over 100 best-of-breed CTE, STEM, and elective courses) that empower Essential Career Skills development.

  • Bonus: The first 10 awarded applicants will receive 100 free licenses for the 1-CEU Professional Development Course: Transitioning to Quality Online Teaching.

Eligibility

  • The school must complete the application by December 31 @ 2 pm MST. Click here to apply.

Requirements

  • The school must purchase a minimum of 100 licenses @ $119 per student license

  • The school must purchase a minimum of (1) $499 training package. Training is performed via Zoom and up to three teachers may attend and establish their own train-the-trainer model.

Timeline

Grant applications will be accepted through December 31, 2021 @ 2 pm MST. The application is available on this site.  All remaining applicants will be notified of their status on or before January 30th, 2021.
